A Luxurious Bath
The client said she liked blue, and she liked orchids. Our designer, Deborah Johnson, featured orchid vines around the tub, and continued with a handpainted sink and shower motif (below).  The floor and step have electric heating beneath the tiles. The tilesetter precut all tiles so the design could flow around the tub.  

 

 

 

 Blue Orchids in Shower
The orchids grow from the rock, extending around the corner, winding around the shower controls.  The mural is painted on 12" x 12"  tiles which 
encompass the shower walls.

Match Border Tile
Design Tiles has created a custom look for this customer by decorating a tissue box cover, tumbler, soapdish, toothbrush holder, vase, cream dispenser, and ring box.

A Variety of van Gogh's Irises
A strike-off of van Gogh's  irises, the 4" tiles were painted in diagonal position, and surrounded with a rope molding.

Bathroom Renovation

Originally completely white, this bathing area was transformed by removing the lowest three rows of white tiles and replacing them with a  blue tile of slightly different size.  This was compensated by laying the tiles diagonally and finishing with a orchid vine border.  A hole was made in the wall, backed with concrete backer board, and tiled with the above handpainted mural
