Tile Boarders Add Accent
Whether high on an architectural display or low close to the countertop, a boarder can be a feature as in the butler's pantry above right, or a complement to the vegetable basket mural, above left. 

 

The Hunt
A personalized "hunt" kitchen backsplash.  Primitive style taken from customer's fine china decor. Customer's home and stable reproduced.  Hunt begins to left of stable and continues around entire kitchen.

 

    

 

Wine and Cheese Popular Theme

Kitchen backsplash mural woven around wine and cheese theme with a harmonious basket of flowers, and grape vines extended beyond mural and  encompassing kitchen.  Customer plays the violin and requested that it "flows like music." "Opus One" wine bottle was chosen to blend into theme. 

 

Fine Art in the Kitchen

The inspiration of this kitchen backsplash was Henri Rousseau's paintings.  The use of handmade tiles and underglaze painting gives the backsplash depth and richness of color, important for this motif.
